What is the best material to place over windows for noise reduction that can be removed and replaced easily?

New drumset in basement
2 small windows
pissed off neighbors
I want something I can make at home or a cheap material I could buy at a store, not some special material that I would have to purchase over the internet. The windows are not recessed (They are flush with the walls), so I would love some suggestions.
