what is noise reduction when it comes to projectors?
Author: admin Category: Noise Reductioni was reading a review on the Epson 720 and it seems outstanding in alot of fields exept noise reduction, whatever it is, its not a deal breaker because i still really like this projector.
Are you sure you don't mean "noise level"? Projectors all have cooling fans, and some can be quite noisy. A typical projector spec sheet will list the fan noise level as, for example 30 dB (decibels). For home use a value under ~28 dB is considered desireable, while buisiness projectors or large venue projectors can be somewhat more.
"Noise reduction" makes no sense since projectors don't reduce noise … as stated, they produce it.

Noise reduction is circuitry to reduce analog noise in the video signal. It doesn't apply to digital signals since the "noise" in digital signals is of a different type.
