What is DNR, aka, Digital Noise Reduction?
Author: admin Category: Noise ReductionOkay, so I just bought a 1080p HDTV. There’s a setting in the menu called "DNR." I tried looking up info over what it is. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s "Digital Noise Reduction." From what I’ve researched though, no site offers a clear explanation over what it really does. Does anyone know what this setting is really for? I can set it from "off," to "low" all the way to "high."
It helps remove noise, mostly in old analog cable signals.
Unless you still have analog cable, set it to off or low.
