www.ProGuitarShop.com — The Subdecay Echo Box Delay Pedal - Start out with a great delay sound, add intuitive and useful features, and you have yourself The Echo Box. The sound is somewhere between a digital and analog delay, but without the coldness of the the typical digital delay, or the sometimes “icky” artifacts heard with analog delays.
The repeats degrade each time they are recycled, but without any clicking or popping often caused by “noise reduction” compandor circuits in older delays. Instead the Echo Box uses a discrete noise reduction circuit designed from the ground up.
Natural decay mode allows the echo effect to naturally trail off after being bypassed (with this feature off the pedal is true bypass).
The modulation can be turned completely off, add just a little tape like warble, or push your tone to near insanity.
Delay time is around 800ms. Infinite repeats are possible, and the scaling of the repeat knob can be altered via an internal trimpot.
Subdecay Echo Box Delay Pedal Features:
• Hand made in Oregon USA with the highest quality components.
• Die cast metal enclosure for durability.
• 3PDT switch for true bypass switching.
• Can be powered by a 9 volt battery or 9VDC adaptor with a negative center 2.1mm barrel style plug. Current draw is less than 100 mA. Although this pedal will run off a 9 Volt battery it draws a lot more current than your typical overdrive. We recommend using a power supply.
• Blue LED indicator.

Excuse my ignorance …
Excuse my ignorance (haha) but this sounds like an awesome analog delay; by adjusting anything can it be made to sound more like a digital delay with more exact repeats?

Hey,
I got both, i’d say and it’s easy to tell that the replica is more high end, meaning the sound is kept pure, so it’s pretty much more of a digital delay.
On the other hand, the Echobox is slightly more of a analog delay, it has lot more echo repeat, and in the end I need both of em.

Oh for the want of …
Oh for the want of a ‘tap-tempo’ switch… i would replace my Replica and Echotone for two of these if it had a tap-tempo.
still… Subdecay FX sound nothing short of brilliant… i am a proud owner of a Stupidbox 2.0 and would recommend it as the OD standard for any G-tarist.

i loved my malekko, but i like the setting on this one a bit more. ultimately went for a dd7 cuz tap tempo was a must and it was cheaper than most in comparison
