I play drums. in a live setting what is the best dB cut for noise reduction without killing everything?
Author: admin Category: Noise Reductionwhen i use common industrial ear plugs i can’t hear anything on stage, i have to remove them so i can actually hear what’s fully going on. i read that a 26dB cut is perfect for drummers… anyone else have any ideas to help me save my ears without losing a complete performance?
I have never used ear plugs or know anyone that does. If you need to then your band has an issue with stage volume that needs to be addressed. High stage volume means a poor mix out front. Even if you are just jamming in a garage the same principle exists, if it hurts your ears or causes ringing someone needs to turn the F down. This tends to be a big issue with beginner guitarist.
