Active noise reduction hearphones: good to concentrate at the pc among talking people? Which better+cheaper?

My job is to elaborate titles and summaries at the pc for a magazine, but my office is noisy, colleagues talk, come and go… Active noise reduction hearphones are a possible solution to concentrate, creating something like the silence in such an ambient? or do they work only with engines noise or so? Considering that my goal isn’t the perfection of the sound of music, which kind is fitting my needs and not too much expensive? Thanks
theres thousands of noise reduction headphones the best ones ive ever used are these bose ones, there were 2 guys right next to me talkin to eachother and i couldnt hear either one of them at all but there real expensive there like $300 but the headphones i currently have only work for engine noise and such things and there philips there good for plane rides and car rides and stuff like that but there not that good fer ppl talkin but there $50
