Is there a difference in the foams used in a studio vs. the foam you can get at home depot?

i want foam for a studio i’m going to build so i can help to soundproof the walls. Is there a difference in the expensive guitar center’s foam and home depot’s cheaper but similar looking foam?

Didn’t a nightclub burn down a few years ago, killing dozens of people, over this very same exact issue? NO, this cheap foam will burn, creating noxious clouds of black smoke, and is UNSAFE when left unexposed. Don’t use it.
