is fiberglass soundproof?

im planning to build a little recording studio in my backyard and my neighbour had just built a home entirely form fiberglass. i was just wondering if it was ideal material for soundproofing

my dad does auto body and my oldest brother is in
the music buisness
if he was around i would ask him what its called
but they hav sound proof walls like sheet rockk stuff.
and if you put carpet on the walls that helps tooo

No, there's special glass for it, the only way you'll make it sound proof is if you layer it.

no..fiberglass is not soundproof..doesnt do a good job of absorbing noises..probably would work better as an amplifier to echo sounds
