home recording studio?
Author: admin Category: Home Studio SoundproofingI’m an artist and I want to turn my bedroom into a fairly basic studio. So i can record whenever I want.
I currently purchasing & acquiring beats from producers, so I don’t plan on making beats or any instrument sounds other than vocals!!
I have a microphone, a computer with a recording software, monitors or people like to say speakers & a soundproof closet/booth
Is there anything else i need to have a basic recording studio in my room?
Is a mixer and all this other equipment needed?
i also have headphones for the booth
You have everything you need to get started. With most recording software packages you don’t really need an outboard mixer. Instead of a mixing board, consider getting a mic pre/compressor being that you’re recording mostly vocals. You’ll get better a better vocal sound this way. There are decent ones for about $300. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ProChannel/
