Does anyone know roughly how much it costs to use a recording studio?

i dont really want to make one at home because it seems like that would be more expensive. Like i would have to buy a new computer, a mike, get stuff to soundproof the walls, download software. etc etc.
$50 an hour is a good guess. I would not record things at home unless you had $50,000 to spend assuming its a whole band, if you were doing rap or hip hop maybe $5,000 or more… you can get packages in most studios for about $500 a day..

it depends where your located at..some studios chargr 40/hr….others charge 100+….if you plan on doing a lot of time in the studio it might be cheaper to get a home studio…you can get a nice set up for 500-600 in a package that has everything you need from guitar center of musicians friend
