		<description>First off, you don't need tools. You need studio equipment. Assembling a good home studio can be tricky. You can spend a lot of money and get very low results. In your home studio you need this:

* Microphone + Pop filter + PreAmp
* SoundCard - Interface
* Cables
* Recording Software

If the budget is not a problem, I really recommend you to buy a good microphone. That's the core of your home studio. My favorite is on Rode NT1A Anniversary Vocal Condenser Microphone ($229):

The package comes with a Popshield, Shockmount and XLR Cable. This condenser mic requires a some kind of phantom power. An alternative is to buy a cheap preamp, but I'm sure your soundcard is not too good, so we have to combine those. We still gave $120. In that budget you can buy M-Audio MobilePre USB Mobile Preamp and Audio Interface ($99):
features:
* 2 x 2 16-bit/48kHz analog I/O w/ preamps
* 2 microphone inputs (XLR balanced) with 48v phantom power
* 2 high-impedance instrument/line inputs (balanced/unbalanced 1/4&#34; TRS)
* Zero-latency hardware direct monitoring (mono/stereo) with software level control
* USB-powered for total mobility

As a recording software you can use Audacity (google it). It's one of the best open source multi-track recording software!

If this is over your budget, consider viewing another alternative:
