Building any object begins as a thought. Usually a person can see in their mind’s eye what he/she wants. Spacial ability is a natural, some have more some less but to be safe always investigate your thought by doing homework before building. An example of homework would be thumb through magazines that illustrate home music studios; visit friends who have have existing entertainment centers; and visit store that sale entertainment centers. After you have done your homework revisit your room and try to visualize the properties of a music studio. Now your becoming more cognizant of what is needed. Next use a pencil and paper and develop a rough sketch what you think would look good in your studio space. Use coloring pencils to give your drawing definition or perspective.

After you complete your rough drawing, using a ruler and a strait edge draw a front and side view (elevation) of your entertainment studio (Scale: 1" = 1′ or less). This will get you started. I will not go in to detail on the materials but you will need plywood, glue, screws, putty, stain, and sand paper. Of course you will need power tools to cut and size the pieces of wood. Have fun and do you home work. If the job is too overwhelming go to a center that sells entertainment sets.
