Real talk, I would go to a local music store and ask them, because it all depends on how much you want to spend. Home studios can range from $100 to $100,000. Pick your budget first and then go from there. If I knew how much you had to spend I could help you from there.. I will tell you this, if you have more that 20gs to spend, begin with an Apple G5 computer.
