welcome to my world lol

microphone- a medium quality microhone will probably run you around 100 dollars. make sure you get a STANDARD sized microphone- i got a large one, and it made things a little bit more complicated lol. a good microphone when you're mobile isn't always a good microphone when you're standing in one place.

mic stand- cheaper the better lol, since all it does is stand there. probably run you around 30 bucks.

mic holder- if your mic doesn't come with one, around 15 dollars

pop filter- 15 to 30 bucks- I CAN'T STRESS HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS. PERIOD.

shock mount- not as much a necessity, depending on where you're recording.

speakers- not REALLY a necessity if you're only recording. if you have some larger speakers you can connect to your computer, they should do the trick.

programs- i use audacity. look it up. you can probably get a pirated acidpro also.

sound proofing can get rediculous, you can either put blankets on your walls, or you can buy the real stuff, which is about 100 dollars for 8x8 ft. of soundproof foam.

also, try out http://homerecording.com for additional details.
