On my old system, I ...
On my old system, I could never get the bass sounding right. Perhaps due to my room, or my previous monitors. My mixes always sounded muddy and at the same time brittle on the high end. I'm not a cheerleader for any brand name - These just happened to work great in my studio. Honestly, my mixes are SO, SO much easier now. I used to run through 50 discs, playing them in the car, home stereo etc, trying to fix the bass and highs. Now, what I hear in the 66's translates everywhere.

....the M-Audio's ...
....the M-Audio's have the Adams beat in bass response, but that's due to the M-Audio's two woofers per cabinet, versus Adam's one woofer.

As for the high end, there is no contest between the Adam's high end accuracy versus M-Audio,Genelec & Dynaudio, because Adam has them ALL beat on detail & clarity on the high end.
Yes of course, the human ear can't hear beyond 20,000 cycles per second(20kHz),but because of Adam's broad range of up to 35 kHz,this gives the tweeter much more overall accuracy....

Fair enough dude,if ...
Fair enough dude,if the EX66's work for you..cool.
If my only choices were the EX66's versus the Genelecs & Dynaudios,I'd go with the M-Audio's
just based on the price difference.
As for the Genelecs & Dynaudios being the best..well..that's popular opinion because they're widely advertised, but the Adams have a much more accurate high end-which is NOT subjective..just check out the specs:
Frequency response is 46Hz - 35kHz vs. M-Audio's 37Hz - 22kHz ......

To suggest A7's are ...
To suggest A7's are the most accurate is subjective. If that were true, why would any store stock any other monitor? Second, the EX66's aren't obnoxiously loud nor do they provide chest thumping bass. I've heard Genelec's and Dynaudio's were the best. I A/B'd them with the 66's and felt the 66's had better separation and overall richness. And bottom line, my mixes sound great, where ever I play them, because (for me) the 66's give a true reference. Oh, and I paid $800 for the pair - Brand new.

Dude...just out of ...
Dude...just out of curiosity, what made you choose the EX66's?
I know their obnoxiously loud, big & impressive looking with chest thumping bass...which is ideal for a club or a home theatre situation, but for a near-field studio set up,these beasts have entirely too much bass to achieve an accurate mix & for $1200 a pair,I just can't see the logic for your application.
A pair of Adam A7's are the most accurate pair of monitors on the planet for there price range & they're $200 cheaper.

why did you choose ...
why did you choose those m-audio monitors...in my opinion THERE ARE LOT BETTER MONITORS THEN THIS. But you have really nice studio, all those acoustic n stuff, how much did you spend on acoustics
