I paid about £160 …
I paid about £160 about erm $200-250 for se2200a and iv had it for about a year/2 and i wouldnt swop it for anything i looked into getting the bluebird but i thought the SE was a much fuller sound!
Also for the money its perfect for “home studios”
Got my neumann for the big projects but i still believe that the SE would put up a good fight against it!
But thats my opinion what mic did you have in the booth?

Cables are like pens. You got the pad and the lyrics in your head but with out the pen it cant manifest as a record. Thats how important cabels are. Cheap Cables mess up your quality. Good cables keep it flowing…

Hi Gabe,
For …
Hi Gabe,
For mics, condensors are for med-low amplitude sounds and dynamics are for med- high amplitude sounds. The Shure Beta 58A is a really good mic in the $200 range but to really step up to pro sound, go with the AKG C414 mic. By the way, my booth is also a converted closet, though I built a cheap bump out to keep the room from being symetrical (this can cause standing waves that can make recordings less consistant.) Keep up the great work!

Also, to keep a …
Also, to keep a professional audio studio look, it is best to try to hide all cables. Radio Shack sells a really cool set of electrical switch plates with connectors built in that makes everything look clean. They are inexpensive and come with a set of brackets that let you mount them solidly into drywall.
