Hi! I saw the isolation you had on your walls. Did you just put them randomly, or is it a pattern that isolates better? could you please explain your choice? I’m about to make my room as sound proof as possible, bud I haven’t got the budget to buy all those “waffles”.

Yeah,true up,, the micro is killer for editing on the move. You can knock over some serious tidying up on a plane or as you say train,so Tools is great for that. I just believe in personal preference,whatever you like more or whatever works for the individual,peace.

Hi, from this video to now, the studio has been heavilly upgraded and seen possibly a number of transitions. We do now have and use Po Tools 8 a lot and still make Logic 8, the main backbone for writting, arranging ang possibly editing. I do a lot of mix down and fine tuning in Pro Tools as I love it’s depth and warm character with plugs and the ease of being able to use my Pro Tools micro on the plane or on the train at any time. I enjoy it’s versatility and freedom.

Yeah Tools has been modelled slightly on Logic, I had Logic and it was cool but I’m used to Protools and I like it better. Regardless of who copied who,,I’m a protools man because thats what I first bought and got used to and when they brought out 8 I just had it coming, I’m happy,,whatever your into really. Do you have tools? If not,you should give it a go,,it has some awesome new things.

ppl are so lost…pro toolz 8 is a copy of logic…logic is better then pro tools cuz it is a all around software..u could make beats,do video ,mix master,,all in one…yes tools is better for editing and every one had it but to compete, they copy logics style…so they came with pro 8….like the hp touch smart copied mac cpu….anyway, dont belive the hype yall..its not what u use it s how you use it..no one can listen to a finished product and tell if it was recorded with logic or protoolz

You do have to use your plugins wisely with protools for sure. Most stuff (Reverbs and EQ )should be applied at the end when mixing with a bigger buffer size(playback engine),, that way you can track and get all your performances on low latency buffer sizes such as 512 and then when your mixing, switch it to 1024 or 2048 and start using all the reverbs and EQ plugs. Don’t try to perform on these high buffers because thats where the latency comes in.
