    Hi! I saw the …
Hi! I saw the isolation you had on your walls. Did you just put them randomly, or is it a pattern that isolates better? could you please explain your choice? I’m about to make my room as sound proof as possible, bud I haven’t got the budget to buy all those “waffles”.
    Peace, cool studio btw!

    Yeah,true up,, the …
Yeah, true up,, the micro is killer for editing on the move. You can knock over some serious tidying up on a plane or as you say train,so Tools is great for that. I just believe in personal preference, whatever you like more or whatever works for the individual, peace.

    Hi, from this video …
Hi, from this video to now, the studio has been heavilly upgraded and seen possibly a number of transitions. We do now have and use Po Tools 8 a lot and still make Logic 8, the main backbone for writting, arranging ang possibly editing. I do a lot of mix down and fine tuning in Pro Tools as I love it’s depth and warm character with plugs and the ease of being able to use my Pro Tools micro on the plane or on the train at any time. I enjoy it’s versatility and freedom.

    Yeah Tools has been …
Yeah Tools has been modelled slightly on Logic, I had Logic and it was cool but I’m used to Protools and I like it better. Regardless of who copied who,,I’m a protools man because thats what I first bought and got used to and when they brought out 8 I just had it coming, I’m happy,,whatever your into really. Do you have tools? If not,you should give it a go,,it has some awesome new things.

    ppl are so lost… …
ppl are so lost…pro toolz 8 is a copy of logic…logic is better then pro tools cuz it is a all around software..u could make beats,do video ,mix master,,all in one…yes tools is better for editing and every one had it but to compete, they copy logics style…so they came with pro 8….like the hp touch smart copied mac cpu….anyway, dont belive the hype yall..its not what u use it s how you use it..no one can listen to a finished product and tell if it was recorded with logic or protoolz

You do have to use …
You do have to use your plugins wisely with protools for sure. Most stuff (Reverbs and EQ )should be applied at the end when mixing with a bigger buffer size(playback engine),, that way you can track and get all your performances on low latency buffer sizes such as 512 and then when your mixing, switch it to 1024 or 2048 and start using all the reverbs and EQ plugs. Don’t try to perform on these high buffers because thats where the latency comes in.

    Protools is the …
Protools is the best. User choice of course, but it’s hard to imagine anything better than protools 8. You will find it in more studios around the world than anything else. To be fair, Logic is solid, as is cubase but to me Protools is the daddy of em all, especially now with 8.Check out some youtube demos of PT8. I have it and swear by it, peace!

    The Lag you refer …
The Lag you refer to is called LATENCY.. Depending on your sound cards internal calliberation and also the bit depth rate of your computer as a whole, latency can be diminished or totally eradicated. The more expensive the audio interface with it’s filter, the more you are likely not 2 experiance this.
A good set to consider in terms of audio interfaces are, Edirol Fa101, Motu 828 from MKII and above or even the presonus models also.
    I hope this helps.

    What Mixing Console …
What Mixing Console are you using? You know the thing with the faders? :P

    Hi guys,
    I am …

    Hi guys,
I am thinking to move from Reason 4 to Pro Tools, but I am not sure if Pro Tools is better than Reason 4. I know Reason 4 is better than Cubase SX3.1 in terms of sound and CPU usage because I’ve used Cubase SX before. Anyway, is pro Tools any good in terms of sound engine and CPU usage (process)? Thanks alot

I used to live in …
I used to live in Houston in Westheimer.. We need to talk and put some things in place and see how it works out for you, publicity being one of the first things to consider and marketing strategies also. Knowing also on hindsight that you have major competitors on your doorstep.

    I have a home …
I have a home studio in Houston with much of the same gear that you have but people never want to come over and record… I don’t know why. I shower daily. Nice setup, though. Your process for creation is quite the same as mine, so I’m happy to see that I’m doing it right.

The desk. What is it? Omnirax? KK Audio?

i like the room as …
i like the room as most of us are limited by space considerations and have to make a fixed room into a studio. Iwas wondering if you considered rigid fibergalss for acoustic treatment or if anybody has experience with it. I’ve heard good things about it.

In order to post something constructive, I recommend this video: watch?v=lbLVjHfHahg

    Well sorry for the …
Well sorry for the bold use of the word ‘crap’. It wasn’t meant to be offensive. Actually I wasn’t directly commenting on the sound quality of the clip although one can CLEARLY hear the room. But it’s a fact that it’s a rather small room and that you have no means of bass trapping installed. Any such room will have low frequency issues, which make it difficult to produce a mix that transports well to other environments. As I said I respect your gear and your talent, I got neither of them. Peace.

  24. rocksolid76

    I have well over …
I have well over 180 subscribers and you have not more than 5 and you are quite bold in flying your collar so openly without as much as a concept of a video to showcase your work or to probably teach others..Ignorance seems to set you apart from the crowd when it comes to determining your sense of interpreting proper audio from avideo source to otherwise.
Don’t be a loud critic, be a constructive one. Ask questions before you ume.
    God bless you.

  25. rocksolid76

    Thanks ever so much …
Thanks ever so much for your rather blasé comment on the room acoustics. i will just add humbly, that at the time this video was done, it was done with a photograph camera that has an inbuilt video function. The idea was to show a process and not aimed at studio sound quality. If you think it is CRAP as you have wildly suggested, why don’t you have a preview of the other recent videos and certify your judgement.
