lol…sorry about Cubase! I’ve been using it since v2 on the Atari (1989). Just something i know inside out, though I do use Logic at work. Yeah, it does get hot in my little studio…I used to have Log Cabin a few years back that was my studio and that was even hotter! All the best!

Hello - I really enjoyed seeing your studio setup. Thank you for the wonderful tour.
Greetings from N.S. Canada
PC user with Cakewalk Sonar
I was only a little bit dissapointed when I saw you use Cubase - it looked just like Sonar till you said it.

ok, I said the Snow …
ok, I said the Snow because of it’s similar price range to the Nord…but if you can get hold of the Polar, then do. Out of all the virus range, the Polar will keep it’s price for longer.

Thanks a lot for …
Thanks a lot for the insight!
Just wanted to ask you another question,
The new Virus Snow vs. the Virus Polar
The Virus Snow is only 1 DSP as opposed to your 2 DSP engine
the Snow is only 4 multi timbral as opposed to your Polar’s 16 Multi Timbral.
I use Logic 8 and I do have a controller like you mentioned, so definitely space wise, i prefer a table top, but could you give me some advice on whether you think “the lack of power” in the Snow would make it deficient?

Happy Holidays to …
Happy Holidays to you too. In answer to your question, I would go for the Virus, but the latest model. If you’re used to soft synths and already have a keyboard controller, then go for the Virus Snow. The Nord is good, but limited in many ways. Apart from the Moog, the Virus has been my best buy!
