Finding the best tone with analog audio in a digital world

Not many people are aware in today's modern world of digital mobile device's and modern conveniences that analog can't offer anything these days, but it does in fact have an advantage.I personally like computer's that fit in one room and digital TV though don't get me wrong, but I still love plugging into my tube amp and cranking it to 11 (Spinal Tap Style). Fact.The vacuum tube has never been topped in audio signal perfection and performance yet but will it be accomplished. Binary code may accomplish this one day and the gap may in fact close.
However all major recording of the last 20-100 years have been preformed with and on analog instruments and recorded on an analog vinyl records. The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors and Led Zeppelin never recorded anything on digital ever the classic maybe remastered but remember the original is analog! There will always
Maybe I’m getting ahead of myself because let’s stop for a moment and remind ourselves of the hazy modern definition of analog. As stated in wikipedia "a variable signal that is continuous in time and amplitude, as opposed to a digital or discrete signal" Cassettes, CD's and MP3's. Effects Pedals guitar player’s have surely taken noticed, guitar store’s have been flooded with digital guitar effects pedals. Sure digital multi effects have many options but seem to be lacking character and have spawned a resurgence of interest in analog effects like Elite Tone’s Smooth Boost analog effect pedal.
The pioneers of the past have left there mark and scores of people will continue to follow and appreciate their hard work and legacy is forged in the record of decades past.Fact, a vinyl record does has a sound quality that can not be captured in any new technology.The stylist needle press against a vinyl record is the very best sound in permanent recording sounds.The recording industry re-released many old and new records and has begun pressing them to growing audience.
In closing its all about preference, I hope this helps put things in prospective.
