What is the best nursing cover for sound-proofing the nursing experience?

Author: admin Category: 5

For moms wanting to nurse, what cover or material (if I unfortunately have to make one) could I use that is a sound barrier to other people around? for privacy "for real"?

I think you’re referring to the ‘ding ding ding’ sound you hear when the baby tugs the boob to signal he/she is finished on one boob and wants the other!!

Breastfeeding is a pretty silent experience!

A SOUND barrier? What kind of sounds do you need to block out? If you are wearing a shawl or poncho or anything like that, everyone around you will know that you are nursing — so blocking out the occassional ’slurp’ won’t make the slightest different. (People don’t wear such garments unless they ARE nursing.)

For the most discreet nursing experience, I’d recommend just wearing normal clothing — a two piece outfit with a fairly loose shirt. (You can wear a nursing tank-top under your shirt for a little more coverage if you wish.) Lifting your shirt from the waist, it looks (unless someone REALLY gets up-close-and-personal) like you are just holding/cuddling your baby.
