You Rock without the Roll when you perform as they did, but never reaped the financial reward for their skill; They Rocked, but didn’t get the bankROLL! That is how you rock without the roll. I know, I was there with them when they opened for bands who couldn’t tie their shoes when it came to putting on a show.
They should be famous and rich right now, but “wrong color” excuses prevailed in those days.
