    Because it never happened. Laws in the US prohibit super sonic speeds in aircraft. What you saw was PrandtlGlauert singularity that can occur in high humidity..

    Realize these airshows are in populated areas. All these aircraft are breaking laws, damaging private property, and making people go death?

    in reality you cant hear the plane right before it hits the barrier because it is going almost as fast as the sound.
