hey dumbass, guess what? thats what a sonic boom looks like! when have you even been on a plane where a large conical cloud forms for no reason? never!!!! why? cuz thats a sonic boom cloud! they arent a new discovery ask anyone who lives near an airforce base. you see them all the time! …

Uh? SONIC BOOM with no sound?

Yes, thats correct. …
Yes, thats correct. Their is only a couple of pics here where the aircraft is breaking the barrier. People that dont research always think vapor trails only happen when you break the barrier.

yeah wtf? B-2’s are …
yeah wtf? B-2’s are subsonic . thats gotta be a vapor trail right?

Damn homie
homie

no they just have …
no they just have to fly subsonic at air shows because the sonic boom close to ground level is very dangerous

Gosh I just wanted to hear the nose and tail go through the sound barrier, As in BAM BAM

It’s just a …
It’s just a compression cloud. The B2 is a subsonic craft. You’ll see this phenomenon at air shows where the aircraft are required to be subsonic.
August 21st, 2009
The pictures didn’t …
The pictures didn’t prove anything, the B2 is NOT super sonic. If you’ve ever been to an airshow you would have notice condensation around the aircraft especially here in Florida.

Btw, i’, not aware …
Btw, i’, not aware that B2 bombers can do supersonic, but the pictures provd otherwise (or at least transonic speed)

Hmm, at high …
Hmm, at high altitude mach1 is under 700mph…so mach 2.8 is no more than 2000mph.
August 21st, 2009
that’s a …
that’s a compression cloud- the speed of the aircraft compresses heat and water in the air it impacts. As the air decompresses from the passage of the aircraft the temperature meets dewpoint creating a cloud.

News flash… …
News flash… planes don’t need to be going super sonic to have vapor coming off their wings!
Hornets at Air Shows fly a top speed pass of roughly 570 mph (at least in Toronto) and there was vapor coming off the wings.

Right, the German …
Right, the German MiG 25. If you were 4 that might be an excuse, but 14?
August 21st, 2009
lol well the german …
lol well the german mig 25 does mach 2.8 or about 2800mph but it was reduced because theengines failed at that speed so they reduced to about 2000mph or 1985…. and yes it is freaking amazing lol … and ya im only 14 but i love cars and planes…..

The phenomenon that …
The phenomenon that you are seeing is caused by low air pressure, not breaking the sound barrier. It is called the Prandtl-Glauert singularity. More often than not it happens in and around the sound barrier, but can also happen at lower speeds dependent on weather and humidity.

i think thats the …
i think thats the stream line on the b2 but thats just ma idea
