during re-entring …
during re-entring our atmosphere on a altitude of 120 km you can notice effects of it,the atmosphere is starts at 120km but 3/4 of the atmospheric mass is within 11km.
if the booms where on a altitude of 100km it sould take arround 294,12 seconds before you hear it, if it was on 10 km it should take arround 30 seconds.
in this clip you hear it 8 seconds after the weard moving of the shuttle
so if it is real the shuttle was on a altitude of 2,7 km
tell me when i’m wrong and say what it should be

The sonic boom is …
The sonic boom is not the sound of the aircraft breaking the sound barrier. If an aircraft passing you is travelling above the speed of sound, you will hear the double bang of the sonic boom as it passes. You may hear the sound quite a time after the aircraft has passed depending on how far away it is as sound travels a lot slower than light. As per thunder/lightning sound delay.
