Is styrofoam panel insullation a good sound barrier?

I have noisy neighbors and I hear them all night through my bedroom window. I have some styrofoam insulation panels and wonder if that would make a good sound barrier if I cut them to fit inside and outside my window.

    Against a window like that, I think you’d get pretty good results.

    The inside will be far easier to deal with than the outside.

    Put double on the inside with some air space between them. This will absorb the sound and really help on heating and ac costs. Cover with blinds or curtains so they dont show.
