no! if the concorde …
no! if the concorde flew 680 Meters/second (that’s twice the speed of sound.) Then the sound will reach you 2 times later then normal.. it’s hard to explain.
but he just flew faster than sound. but the sound reaches you 2 times later than it normally does with a aircraft flying below he speed of sound..

not for a few …
not for a few seconds..
they are now designed to fly faster than sound for hours. like Concorde! Concorde flew faster than sound for 3 hours in a row..

It just means going …
It just means going faster than the speed of sound. There is no “barrier” of course, but back when they were designing planes to go that fast (and hadn’t achieved it yet) the designers thought of it as a barrier and the moniker stuck!
