If i were to break the sound barrier twice?

Author: admin Category: 5

If i were to break the sound barrier at 700mph and went to 1000 mph then slowed back down to 700mph would i break the sound barrier a second time?

You’re quibbling terminology. If you define ‘break the sound barrier’ as a speed transition from below to above sonic, then you’d need to slow to subsonic to do that again. But that term is usually applied to the first time man accomplished that feat with an aircraft.

No, since you’re still at the limit. If you slowed down to 699, then sped back up, then you would break it twice.

Actually you could break the sound barrier twice using a different method.

First you have to eat a can of baked beans in a bowl with butter milk.

Fly past 700mph and break the sound barrier the first time.

Now when going 701+ mph you will have to fart real hard which should be able to break the sound barrier twice because powerful farts have a velocity of 719 mph on average. You broke the sound barrier in side another sound barrier.

    Make sense?

P.S. Careful not to shard at that speed…objects even at a small size can become hazardous.

No you would have to slow done below the sound barrier in order to break it twice…
