No.. You can see …
No.. You can see the cones when it already passed you.. Because if it was like you’ve said You would be the only person in the world who can see the cones. the person standing 1 mile away can’t see any cones because it already passed you.. it doesn’t make any sence..

The cones are visible when the aircraft flies some faster or some slower than Mach 1.0.

Notice the vapor cones though. They happen right before a plane breaks the sound barrier. As soon as the vapor cones stop, we hear the boom.

he probably broke the sound barrier way before “just”. The boom you here is a continouisly shock wave, so you hear it only as a boom but keeps on going as long as the plane goes supersonic. So it’s not that he broke the sound barrier the moment you hear the boom
